Starting out from Bilbao Getxo and ending up in A Coruna, both of which are real gems.
Crew can sign up for either 1 or 2 weeks( more details on 1 week option to follow).
Cruising Green Spain with the right blend of cafe culture in the ports, sightseeing and anchoring in beautiful bays and coves, with good food & wine both onboard and ashore.
The area has sea food to die for, however for meat eaters my contention is that Spain has the best quality beef in Europe......they taught the Argentinians all they know.
Bilboa meal ashore will be a mere 15 min stroll from the Getxo marina along the promenade to to an old fishing village with my favourite Basque (and inexpensive) pinxtos/tapas restaurant.

Potential airports options include Bilbao, Santander, Asturias, A Coruna and Santiago de Compostella . Note there is here is a north coast railway line.
This is a 250NM cruise which over 2 weeks would take us past Euskadia, Cantabria, Asturias and Galicia, averaging sub 20NM per day.
However if there was an appetite for more exploring, from Bilbao I would like to head east initially to take in the French Basque area and go as far as Bayonne which would add a total of another 140NM, with overall averaging sub 30 NM per day.
Depending on the weather there may be the need for one or two longer legs of 70NM.
However with 13 hours of daylight plus 1 hour of nautical twilight this would be very manageable.

This bold, mountainous and interesting green coast between France and Galicia is little visited by yachts, most of which rush straight to the Rias.
This is a very rugged coastline, especially when the 2560M high Picos mountains are in the background.
