Oban-Mull-Oban Cruise

I am skippering two cruises one after the other starting Saturday 28 July and Saturday 4 August and lasting for a week each.  Both cruises will start and end from Oban which has good rail links to Glasgow and buses direct from Glasgow airport getting off 100m from the marina.

Where we go depends a lot on the weather, but there seem to be a couple of good options:

• Circumnavigation of Mull, Coll and Tiree – say 140 NM, probably the limit for a relaxing 6 days when sorties up lochs and into anchorages are taken into account.
• South coast of Mull then east to Scarba, before heading north again via say Cullipool, Archcaple House and Kilninver and back to Oban – say 120 NM diversions to distilleries excluded

I haven’t cruised in this area, so I’ll be doing some research over the next few months and tapping in Stuart Richie’s local knowledge.  All intelligence on the area is welcome.  Look forward to sailing with you.
