Delivery to Scotland - Week 1

Starting from Ipswich we will be sailing up the North Sea, bound for Amble (half way between Blyth and the Farne Islands for those who haven't heard of it!). Amble is the closest we can reasonably get to Edinburgh as there are no marinas in the Firth of Forth that can take BB! Amble is a short (5 mile, £10) taxi ride from Alnmouth which is on the east coast main line, so readily accessible to/from London and the south.

There will be opportunities to find good restaurants and pubs at our stops on the way - these are not finalised yet and will be weather and progress dependent - but could include Lowestoft, the Humber (Grimsby), Hartlepool and North Shields. We will spend at least 2 nights at sea - good opportunities for those needing to add hours to their logbooks for RYA qualifications - and also good opportunities for tuning navigation skills in the waters off Norfolk and the Humber.
